My Practice

Please find below some details about my practice and how I work, psychotherapy in general and more information on the existential approach. If you have a question that isn't answered here, please contact me.

Sessions With Me

I generally offer weekly one-to-one sessions, either in long term or more time limited agreements.

We will start with an inital session to meet each other, assess your situation and see if we can agree to work together.

Once we agree we will make a formal agreement in writing that outlines the finer points of the working relationship.

I am experienced in working with a wide range of concerns with people from vastly different backgrounds. Please do get in touch if you would like to ask anything about working with me.

All sessions with me are confidential and I abide by the UKCP Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct which can be found here.

Psychotherapy

There are a number of reasons you might choose to engage in working with a psychotherapist.

Generally speaking, if you feel that speaking to someone separate from your world yet engaged in it would be useful then psychotherapy is a good place to start.

Existential Psychotherapy

Existential psychotherapy is an approach grounded in a philosophy and view of human existence rather than in definitive theories and methods.

I find it to be a wonderfully open and flexible way of working that allows my clients to meet me 'as is' without attempting to fit them into any presupposed structures or categories.

More information on the existential approach to psychotherapy can be found on the Society for Existential Analysis website.
